“From Day One, Gov. Ivey has supported hard-working Alabamians like truckers and small businesses like mine. Trucking never stops no matter the challenge, not even during the pandemic. Through that challenging season, we were able to do our jobs knowing that Gov. Ivey hadour backs. My family stands with Gov. Ivey and so does Alabama’s trucking industry.”
Kelly Robinson - President of Service One Transport
“Professional drivers deliver 86 percent of everything shipped in Alabama, and it’s important that people know that this state is home to more than 110,000 people who work in trucking – that’s 1 in 15 jobs in the state. Fortunately, Gov. Ivey understands that trucking is essential to our economic success and has worked with our industry to get more people into the industry so they can in turn provide for their families. When an elected official keeps their word, provides strong leadership, and produces positive results, they deserve our support and our vote. Gov.Ivey has done just that.”
Greg Brown - Chairman of TRUK PAC and president of B.R. Williams in Oxford, Ala.
“The trucking industry is vital to our state’s economy and touches virtually every aspect of our daily lives. Whether you’re going to the pharmacy to pick up medication or to the supermarket to buy groceries – those goods are all there because a hard-working professional driver gotthem there. Our truckers support us – literally putting the food on our tables – and it’s important that we support them too. For professional drivers to be successful, they need to have access to safe, dependable infrastructure – that’s why my administration will continue making historic investments into our state’s roads and bridges. I thank the Alabama Trucking Association for their endorsement and all that our state’s truckers do to ensure we have the resources on which we depend.”
Kay Ivey - Governor of Alabama
“New training for truckers to combat human trafficking; safety guidelines allowing 18- to 20-year-olds to earn their CDL and drive intrastate; fixing Alabama’s roads and bridges; tax cuts for small businesses and individuals; regulatory relief during the pandemic; liability protection from frivolous lawsuits; and historic investments to build trucking’s future workforce. The list of Gov. Ivey’s accomplishments is long, and we still have much to do with her steering Alabama forward.”
